A Night of Stars
The Julia Macalpine Dancers perform at the Cairns Choral Society Gala Spectacular, Cairns Civic Theatre.
Julia Macalpine Dance Studio teaches dancers from three years old, from their first Baby Ballet class to exams, eisteddfods and the stage.
The studio is led by principal Julia Trenor (née Macalpine) and teacher Shannon Trenor, Julia's daughter. Together they teach the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet syllabus and the ISTD tap and modern syllabus, alongside hip hop, conditioning and competition troupes.
The studio is at 7 Reservoir Road, Manoora, a few minutes from the Cairns CBD.
How we teach.
- Every dancer
- Students are treated as individuals, and each class is tailored to the needs and abilities of the dancers in it.
- A nurturing room
- A positive, supportive and inclusive studio where a love of dance can grow, whether a dancer comes for fun, fitness or a future on stage.
- Goals to reach for
- As dancers progress they can sit RAD and ISTD examinations and perform in competitions and the studio's own productions.
